Reviewed latest (2021) Ikea “Life at Home” survey: Over the last year, we have seen a rise in the number of people who are keen to create simpler, more organized spaces in their homes. When thinking about their ideal home, more than one in four (27%) say that being ‘easy to clean’ and ‘keep clutter-free’ is more important to them than it was 12 months ago. Many of those we spoke to associated clean, decluttered spaces with a greater sense of calm. Clutter-free equals being in control, which is important for our mental wellbeing.
